Butter Pecan Cookies

 
Ingredients:
 
1 C butter or margarine-softened
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
Pecan Halves
1 egg
2 cups flour
 
Directions:
 
Cream butter and sugar, blend in egg. Stir together flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt; stir into creamed mixture. Chill 1 hour. Form into 1" balls; place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten in one direction with fork tines; top each with a pecan half. Bake at 375� for 10 to 12 minutes.
