General Douglas MacArthur gave one of the most important speeches of all time at the close of World War II, after the lives of more than 50 million people had been destroyed. The general said, "Men since the beginning of time have sought peace... military alliances, balances of power, leagues of nations, all in turn failed, leaving the only path to be by way of the crucible of war. The utter destructiveness of war now blots out this alternative. We have had our last chance. If we will not devise some greater and equitable system, our Armageddon will be at our door. The problem basically is theological and involves a spiritual recrudescence, an improvement of human character that will synchronize with our almost matchless advances in science, art, literature and all material and cultural developments of the past 2,000 years. It must be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh." Since the end of World War II, mankind has created the Frankenstein monster of enough hydrogen and atomic bombs that can annihilate all humanity from off the face of the earth. Will certain nations use such weapons of mass destruction? There has never yet been a weapon invented that they have not used. We are living in the last days of this age and are entering into the time period known as The Great Tribulation, The Heavenly Signs and The Day of The Lord. A United States of Europe will plunge the world into another great holocaust, which will lead directly to Armageddon. Before that happens, the true gospel of the Kingdom of God would be preached to the nations as a witness and warning, "and then shall the end come" (Matt.24:14).
