Hallowe'en Is Pagan!!
|
HALLOWE'EN, commonly spelled without the apostrophe today, is
utterly PAGAN! All its symbols and customs stem from ancient
heathen mythology. Why should any Christ-centered,
Bible-believing person revel in ghoulish death? What place have
witches, goblins, demons, skeletons, "Jack o' Lanterns," black
cats, and the worship of "Samhain, the Lord of the Dead," in a
Christian society? Millions use "Halloween," as it is commonly
misspelled today, as an excuse for wild revelry. Little do they
know that it is the ghoulish "New Year" for Satanists!

"Consider next the frivolous, capricious, demoniacal
trappings of "Halloween." What is Halloween? Even the spelling
has been altered, as the passing years and obfuscating tradition
contrive to obscure the true, pagan symbolism of this most
transparent of all the pagan harvest festivals." |

During the course of Harry Potter book
series, Halloween is mentioned several times as an important
date.
--In Halloween's Day 1981, Lord Voldemort is defeated the first
time by the one-year-old Harry Potter.
--In that same day, Harry's parents James Potter and Lily Potter
die at the hand of Voldemort (Lily's
death is what activates the special protection charm that saved
Harry when Voldemort uses the Avada Kedavra on him).
--In 1991, Professor Quirrell makes his first attempt of
stealing the Philosopher's Stone by means of freeing a mountain
troll to distract the other professors and students.
--Harry and Ron Weasley save Hermione Granger from the troll;
then she does help them in turn so that they are not punished.
This makes them best friends, thus forming what readers call the
Trio.
--In 1992, Harry attends Nearly-Headless Nick's Deathday Party
with his friends Ron and Hermione.
--The first attack from the Slytherin's basilisk is thrown: Mrs.
Norris, Mr. Filch's cat, is found petrified.
--In 1993, Sirius Black tries to get into Gryffindor's tower so
that he can find and kill Peter Pettigrew under the guise of
Scabbers. When the Fat Lady doesn't let him into without the
password, Sirius slashes the portrait with a knife.
--In 1994, the Triwizard Tournament's champions are chosen:
Viktor Krum from Durmstrang, Fleur Delacour from Beauxbatons and
Cedric Diggory from Hogwarts. Due to the manipulations of Barty
Crouch Jr. (disguised with Polyjuice as
Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody), Harry's name is also
chosen, forcing him to compete in the Tournament.
